I wake up to a beautiful person of African American decendents
Who have created a world so wonderful without shame
Because they knew that I would arise to a life of fame
None the less would I consider throwing in the towel
Because I have come too far and have worked so hard
Before I would ever stand before anyone only to bow
I will walk, skip or run to reach that final yard
I have arrived to a life that is brand new
A life that beholds my success and failure
Only to find a love that is so rare and true
Becaue my life is just beginning...what about you?
